Winner!

I decided to let baby Venice excersise her newfound skill of picking things up and draw a winner for me. She did a good job!

So the winner is Rosa B!

I don’t really have a favorite blog – they’re all so interesting! ) I get most of my inspiration from online galleries, namely CK, but I’m always looking for new galleries. I’m hoping to make some baby thank you cards today – just had my baby & need to get the thanks out soon! ) Thanks for doing the RAK!

Rosa, I’ll be sending you an email shortly.

Thought I’d also share this card I made with My Mind’s Eye’s Snowed In pack. I love these Christmas trees- and I’m not normally a fan of trees.  I think I want to make all my Christmas Cards this year from this line. I added some silver and copper brads as some of the ornaments on the tree and I love how it came out!

Supplies: Cardstock- Prism (Blue), Bazzill )Brown); Patterned paper, die cut title – My Mind’s Eye; Brads- Making Memories;

Giveaway!!

Today is World Card Making Day! What a cool holiday, huh? I’ve been making cards all week (keep an eye on my Etsy store for updates very very soon… including Christmas cards!), so I thought I’d share some really quick ones. These both came from the MemoryWorks World Card Making Day Kit that you can pick up here for only $29.99! I love this kit! These ones used the kit, some ribbon, and adhesive – that’s it!

So now here’s the giveaway: This is one of 6 of the card kits that comes in the MemoryWorks promo kit. It’s a My Mind’s Eye Wild Asparagus Kit, and it makes 8 cards (except there’s way more if you add in some more cardstock card bases!). (Sorry for the bad pic, not the best lighting at midnight!)

To be entered, just leave me a comment and tell me, what is your favorite source of inspiration? If you have any great blogs you love, let me know about em! And tell me if you’re doing anything for WCMD! I’ll leave the contest open until I get home from work tonight – 10pm Pacific time, and I’ll post a random winner tomorrow.

Hope everyone has a fabulous weekend!

World Card Making Day

is this Saturday, October 4th. In honor of this fantastic holiday, Memory Works is offering a limited edition card Kit from My Mind’s Eye. For 29.99, you get everything you need to make 48 cards! That’s just 63 cents per card- way better than buying store bought! You can order this off my website, but supplies are VERY limited! Just click on the picture below:

So Excited!!!

So, the big news is that we found a house to rent. I’ve been searching for months and there hasn’t been anything available anywhere near as big as we want. Sunday we called on a lead and it turned out to be pretty much our dream home. 2400 square feet, 5 bed (one of which will be a scraproom), 3 bath, on AN ACRE lot. It’s almost done, and it’ll be ready around the beginning of October, which is perfect since our current lease is up at the end of October. Here’s a pic mark got of the dining room:

I can’t wait to have a scraproom!!! Now I need great storage ideas… Anyway, I also recieved a nice package in the mail today from Memory Works. This was their August Memory Works Express kit.

I love their monthly kits because they have enough to do lots of pages, but they also have an altered item featured every month, and they come with 6 extra pieces of cardstock precut to make cards with your scraps (and they include envelopes!). This one is filled with Prima’s Dude line, and I can’t wait to get playing with it. There are still a few more left, so if you’d like to order this kit you can click on the picture.

I had some projects I’ve completed lately that I was going to put up, but Mark took the camera to work and left it on his desk so I have no way to do it now! Hopefully I’ll get those up tomorrow evening.

In other news- Scott lost a tooth on Tuesday (big toothless pics on aforementioned camera’s SD card), so he’s got this gigantic hole in the front of his mouth now. And my baby is 5 months old today. Already. I was going to do a little photo shoot with her today, but again, no camera. I had lots of plans for that camera, as you can see…

Tomorrow is curriculum night at school, so I hope to get some school pics tomorrow night too. Hopefully I’ll have a nice big update for everyone tomorrow. I’m going to go play with my new scrap goodies!
